Have a look at our website https://www.kbseafoodco.com.au/ to learn more about us.About the Role:Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role is responsible to undertake all servicing, repair, and upkeep of a variety of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime, ensuring activities are conducted in a safe and efficient manner.Responsibilities:• Monitor and coordinate the processing preventative maintenance program.• Trouble shoot and repair various types of machinery.• Conduct tests and inspections to ensure machinery meets standards.• Record stock of materials and supplies, labor costs and equipment maintenance performance history such as movements, work orders, parts used and time to maintain.• Monitor equipment and processing efficiency and act to improve where necessary.• Maintain spare parts stock levels to ensure optimal inventory in support of the processing department.• Ensure that work is performed safely, efficiently and in accordance with company procedure and legislation.• Participate in and lead regular communication to ensure effective contractor resource planning in line with project expectations.• Collaborate and maintain a high level of cooperation with other departments, related to service, cost and productivity.• Responsible for all handovers and checklists generated internally for the quality system. • Maintain documentation of all maintenance and repair activities.• Support continuous improvement efforts to improve efficiency and productivity, reduce downtime due to maintenance, failures and work in progress.• Participate in failure investigations as assigned.Requirements:• Proven experience as a Machinery Technician, Electrician or Maintenance Fitter in a manufacturing environment.• Relevant trade qualification (Mechanical Trade, WA Electrical license or equivalent)• Experience in Food industry and understanding of food safety, HACCP, cold chain, and product handling will be an added advantage.• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with the ability to work independently• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety and safe work practices• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team• Flexibility to work shifts, overtime, or be on-call as required.Benefits of the Role:This role offers an excellent opportunity to grow with the business.
